Following are the prerequisites for the job:
Must have some pet care experience: please do NOT apply if you don't have any pet care experience. Applicants with no relevant pet care experience will be rejected. Having your own dogs is NOT deemed relevant day care experience.

Be reliable and trustworthy because dogs are depending on you
Be willing to undergo a background check
The following is a description of the tasks required of our dog handlers: For all shifts, a large chunk of the job will be cleaning our facility. We pride ourselves on running a very clean facility, so a big chunk (30-50% depending on your specific shift) of your time will be spent cleaning. The remaining percentage of the time, you will exercise our day campers and boarders on treadmills, paying attention to each and every dog; swimming in the pool with dogs, teaching some to swim, and running playgroups of dogs divided into smaller groups. We also take turns to run enrichment activities for dogs that sign up for them.
At ALL times, you will be vigilant and monitor dogs for behavioral issues, aches and pains, or anything out of the normal. We work hard to maintain a ratio of a maximum of 15 dogs to one handler, and we usually have a lower ratio than that.
Upon hire, the successful candidates will undergo on-the-job training with senior staff. You will shadow senior staff on their tasking, and work closely with them, before you will be allowed to work with dogs by yourself.

Detailed Job Description:
The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for clients and their pets. As the public face of Real World Canine, your duties will include:
Organizing the day’s events for the dogs and other staff, including dog training and handling requirements.
Greeting clients as they come in to drop off and pick up their dog(s).
Getting information on each dog’s health and wellness status.
Coordinating with the operations team to disseminate individual dog information to guide their daily activities.
Tracking dog’s arrival and departure and updating their status on our software system.
Providing information to existing and prospective customers via phone, email, etc.
Coordinating with management to update social media and post interesting updates on our day camping or boarding dogs, as well as announce new information to customers.
Creating/Updating Day-camp, boarding and training reservations.
Communicating with customers about their dog's daycamp or boarding experience
As this is a Customer Service Rep AND Handler position, you will be expected to train with handlers and help cover breaks for handlers. As our customer service representative, you will have the chance to be the very first person to help improve the lives of both our canine and human customer. You are the first person they see when they arrive, and/or sometimes even the last person they see when they leave. Join us and make a difference! The following is a description of the tasks required of our boarding technicians: The graveyard shift starts at 6.30 pm and ends at 6.30 am. During these 12 hours, you are expected to stay awake. On the boarding shift, the tech will spend several hours cleaning and preparing the facility for the next day while also monitoring the dogs.
Boarding techs will feed the dogs both breakfast and dinner on their shift and supply any medication necessary. Once boarding shift tasks are complete, the tech will move the dogs to our boarding bedroom. You are expected to stay awake, watching tv or listening to music, so that you can tend to any dog who has extra needs at night.
The successful candidate will work Sun-Tue with alternating Saturdays with the other boarding tech shift. Thus, the successful candidate's work week will be one 48-hr shift, with 8 hours being overtime, and the next, 36 hours. Upon hire, the successful candidate will undergo at least two weeks of training on the day shift to learn our operations, then two week of boarding shift training.
